| Canmer offroad park Kieth Fancher
355 S W Cartmill Rd
Canmer, KY 42722-9456 (270) 528-3868 Chevydaddy found the address. I google maped it, and it is correct. mud and trails. lots of hills, not alot of rocks, but there is some. You can see alot more of it from an atv, but if you know the routes you can get around good in a truck.

| Well I havne't been there since last august, because I have been deployed. But I can tell ya, it was well worth the money to us. Of course we all lived less then an hour away. Great place to fish, or just take the kids to swim in the river. There are a few rules, and it is really hard to keep people abiding by them. He has some of the land it what is called the KREP program, and it is fenced off. His biggest issues are keeping people from crossing the fences, and keeping them out of the river with their buggies, and the EPA has already warned him once about the erosion. Other then that it was pretty much anything goes. Seen/ heard about some people getting hurt down there climbing hills on ATV's, but rarely had alcohol involved. This is the main place that me and chevydaddy go to, so I hope that not much has changed since them. Every time I go I make it a point to fix a fence, and pick up some trash. I hope whoever goes there has the same respect. Kieth is a great guy and will do what ever he can to take care of you while your there. I have used his compressor a number of times, but I know that he dosen't have much to help with. I do plan to take him a new compressor next time I go down. Alot of it works on the honor system. If he isn't home he expects you to deposit your money in his mail box, and most people do. I usually hold onto my money and wait for him to get home where I will go and give it to him personally. Not just to protect the money, but to also put a face with it. If anyone makes it down there anytime soon, give us an update. Thanks

| It's a shame some ppl can't follow a few simple rules. I'm just glad he has been lucky and hasn't been forced to shut down because of the bad apples | |

| Its a nice place to ride during the summer, go down to the river and just relax and hangout. Some of the atv trails have been messed up by trucks getting on them an digging monster holes, but im sure that happens everywhere. | |

| I just found Horseshoe Bend on facebook, here is the link
https://www.facebook.com/pages/Horseshoe-Bend-Motorsports/202141856489509
Its about the same distance from my house to Horseshoe Bend as it is to DTOR.
$10 per person per day, looks like just Sat and Sunday.

their web site
Interlake State Recreation Area (ISRA), former coal mine land straddling Pike and Warrick Counties, is now open as a multi-use recreational facility. Interlake is approximately 3550 acres of land with three separate eras of mining and reclamation. From steep rugged spoil banks to rolling hilly grasslands, man-made lakes and final cut strip pits, Interlake is a diverse array of topography and scenic views. Much of Interlake is devoted to motorized OHV and equestrian trail use. Mountain biking is also allowed. Approximately 50 miles of trails can be found within Interlake’s boundaries. Trails range from beginner to experienced, with multiple miles of each skill level. All types of OHVs are allowed, 4x4, ATV, UTV, dirt bike, and home-built. All trails are designed for a minimum of two user types. For example, dirt bikes and horses share trails, as do, 4x4s and ATVs. The middle of the property has several wide easy trails with good visibility – these trails can be used by anyone.

| That place looks fun. Not that far either. Used to drive by it everyday and didn't even know it was there. Not to mention that place is absolutely MASSIVE. Did you look at the map??
MAP
Looks like its a $5 or $7 entrance fee for the whole car. Lot cheaper than the other parks.

| Free is even better. I couldn't find a direct admission price to that park, but DNR has standard admission fees of $5 for IN residents and $7 for non residents. I assumed that applied.
I got my Saturdays back (no longer working at car lot) and want to start doing stuff.

| Thanks for the warning/advice, after seeing some of the vids and what not I hadn't planned on going alone, some of those areas look pretty rough. Might wait until after I get back from a road trip I've got coming up over the holiday's... and maybe some better tires. | |
