PostSubject: the jeep hauler   the jeep hauler Empty5th November 2012, 1:34 am

picked up a new toy this weekend. i bought this home made car dolly for $175 from a guy up in Pekin, Indiana. It's made from a mobile home axle. My hopes are the comanche will be able to handle the trail rig on this thing.

I've got a few plans for it. Probably gonna check it over for strength and builder flaws. Then i'm thinking about rhino lining the whole thing. Maybe other stuff, only time will tell

Can you haul your 4x4 with 1 axle rolling?

Will you have to disconnect a driveshaft?

just putting it in neutral with the gear shift would be enough since the front wheels wouldn't be rolling but i'm always gonna put my t-case in neutral as well just to be extra cautious

Just double check before you do it.
I think I heard somewhere that it could be bad.
Maybe for certain transmission xfer case combos.
