7 Minutes on 10 Mile Road.

Look like a fun road, is it the one over by Taylorsville Lake? Hadn't heard of it before seeing this, is it a public road?

Okay... I went there this afternoon and it was nothing like the video! Maybe 1.5 miles and half of it was paved (closer to Taylorsville Lake)... I was heading towards the lake from Hickory Ridge Road.

I found it on Google Maps by searching for 10 Mile Road, KY (wanted to put a link here, but it won't let me yet).

Did I zig when I should have zagged? (i.e. I went South, should I instead have gone North?) Maybe I should have started from Briar Ridge Road (there's a church at the intersection and it's paved here) and headed North and kept on going past Briar Ridge Road.

Or did I find the wrong road?

I'll go back tomorrow if I did something wrong!

Its not exactly on google maps, at least not searchable. (long pause) I found the spot you said you were at, but I can't tell if its the right place. When I went I was following several other people. I know it is in that area. The road started paved, then turned to gravel for a bit, thats when we turned off into the creek.

I may go take a look at it again tomorrow (only about a 45 min drive from home).

Try going up Mill Rd and turning onto Beech Creek Rd

Where it ended looks like the intersection where beech creek becomes 10 mile.

Cool, looks like I may have just started at the wrong end of 10 Mile Rd. I knew I should have gone back down it the other way! From the road Beech Creek didn't look like anything interesting and I was just fixated on 10 Mile.

Is that off on the side trails there by the power lines or is that the road?

Well, went back out to 10 Mile Road today and followed it into Beech Creek Rd, which is little more than a well defined trail. Saw where you can go down into the creek bed but opted not to go there as it was just me and the dog and the last thing I wanted was to get stuck!

It was rather damp today but my JK did just fine, slid sideways once on a rut, but didn't have any wheel spin at all and that was with my rather more street friendly all-terrain tires.

Fun little trail, will go back down sometime with a friend of mine and give that creek bed a shot.

When you follow the creek bed stay to the left around the first bend past the road crossing it can get deep there saw a jk with a small lift and bi tires sink to the headlights and watch to the right for the pull out we had 2 pass it up and keep in the creek past that point it gets DEEP so be carefull
