PostSubject: Slow Poke Build "The Black Bandit"   2nd July 2012, 7:34 pm

Ok so just to let everybody know this is to keep track of my build. parts will be put on whenever i have the cash to do them or find a good deal.

all the pics to follow are form the day i got my jeep to present so here we go

this is what it looked like the day i got it home

this was one of the first things i did was to take the stock flairs off and see if i like it this way didnt know that it would be about a year untill i acutualy got a set big enough to acutualy trim them

then i got bord with the overheating issue i had and made a lovered hood and it acutualy turned out pretty good i think

[IMG]https://fbcdn-sphotos-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-snc7/288319_2322811558551_1497469850_2586545_1267727_o.jpg[/IMG

my high tech tools in use

finished product

this was taken for a compairsin shot of my fender trimming but i could use it for my paint also

when i started trimming my fenders i used this

and found out real fast that i need to get something bigger to do this (this was about 4 disks and about 20 min of work):brickwall:

talked to a friend at work and came up with this

the first pic was a shot to show how i was doing it and the second shot is the finished product both fronts took about 30 to 45 min total

this is what i had left over when i was done

inner fender anyone had to remove

after all this i needed to paint i started with the upper body line to see if i would even like it
the stuff i used is in the first pic and then some of the process and then the finished product

here is what it looks like up close

so i like how this stuff looks and i decided to go over board and here is what i came up with

all finished for now so here so a poser shot more to come

UPDATE: ok so my 7 year annivasery was july 30 took my wife out to Cheedars for lunch with the kids and when we went to leave my starter gave me this low growl sound that said "stick a fork in me boss im done" and it stoped cold in its tracks so needless to say in the middle of the restarant parking lot with tons of people all dressed up and watching i changed my starter in about 30 min the guys at autozone tried to test it and it wouldent even budge

Took off my front bumper today much Easter than I thought all 6 bolts were just about hand tight I'll have some pix up in the morning. Also had to relocate my black bomb from behind the bumper to under where the coolant tank would be

Well they are cut for 31"s but in now running 29s (waiting to get bigger) in just cutting to fit the bumper cause I don't have the 97^ fenders wish I did but dont have the cash to go to jy by the way what you asking for the wheels and Tiers off the parts jeep I think my lug holes are wallowed out cause I can't get my rims centered on the hubs (not hub centric) so I get bad vibes ever sence I got these new tires

i agree but those tires will be too small once u get a lift. they definitely get the job done for now though

That is true you go any bigger than a 3 or 3.5. They will look like low profile wheels

took off my rear bumper to get to the access whole behind the bumper brackets and found this as a bumper bracket

this is the driver side and passenger sided together now the passenger looks brand new even the bolts came out easy compared to the driver side
